Position the Merlicator so that it is easily turned on and off (manual models) and so that the reservoir can easily be seen and conveniently refilled. Protect the unit from chips, dirt, machined parts, conveyor parts, and material handling equipment. Do not install on the floor or directly in the path of chip flow.

5.2 Maintenance

Your Merlicator requires virtually no special maintenance if clean air is used and chips and dirt are not allowed to enter through the reservoir when it is being filled. It is important to keep the reservoir away from the flight of chips and dirt. Mounting it high and away from the path of chips normally does this. Longer hoses do not inhibit the pumping action of the Merlube liquid.
