Stamping, Punching & Tapping
Mer*Lube lubricants are applied on abrasive belts and other abrasive products
(diamonds, wheels, woven) in very small amounts.
Special nozzles are furnished to facilitate the wide areas that need to be
covered. Liquid is applied away from the cutting edge (convenience being the
rule of thumb).

Mer*Lube lubricants are applied on the drills within two general rules:
1. When diameters are less than 2 to 1 one nozzle directed
on the cutting edge at the start of the drilling cycle.
2. When diameters exceed 2 to 1 two nozzles are needed.
One is located at the start of the operation where the cutting takes place and
the other runs parallel to the drill lubricating the margin as the drill moves
into the hole.

Mer*Lube lubricants are applied on the exposed edge of the mill; generally
180 degrees opposite the side of the cut.

Mer*Lube lubricants work extremely well on band saws sawing a variety of
metals and shapes. Mer*Lube is NOT effective on power hack saw operations.

Mer*Lube lubricants have effectively been used on ALL cold sawing operations
regardless of size or material to be cut.

[Stamping & Punching]
Mer*Lube lubricants have effectively been used in stamping operations on
aluminum up to 1/4" and steel up to 3/16".
Most popular is where holes are punched or stamped a fair distance from each
other.

[TAPPING]
Mer*lube lubricants are applied on the bottom portion of the
tap, off center. This lubricates the cutting edges as well as the flutes for
chip evacuation.
